MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 31.39 points to 1,381.73.

Volume was 6.491 billion lots worth RM2.929 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 827 to 198.
