    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 17.26 points to 1,795.50.

    Volume was 2.9 billion lots worth RM2.9 billion.

    Losers far outnumbered gainers 703 to 270.
