MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 7.81 points to 1,568.13.

Volume was 15.575 billion lots worth RM8.267 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 797 to 390.
