    MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 16.69 points to 1,553.41.

    Volume was 2.571 billion lots worth RM2.487 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 508 to 450.
