MALAYSIAN stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 7.86 points to 1,591.32.

Volume was 5.836 billion lots worth RM3.151 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers by 812 to 279.
