MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 19.62 points to 1,726.18.

Volume was 3.8 billion lots worth RM3.3 billion.

Gainers beat losers 724 to 252.
