    MALAYSIAN stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.33 points to 1,855.99.

    Volume was 2.28 billion shares worth RM2.1 billion.

    Losers outnumbered gainers by 556 to 409.
