MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index at 1,582.19, down 4.7 points.

Volume was 4.048 billion lots worth RM2.762 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 574 to 434.
