Malaysia: Shares fall at Friday's open

MALAYSIA share prices started trading on lower ground on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.2 points or 0.4 per cent to 1,491.5 as at 9.01am.

Volume traded was 151.3 million lots worth RM54.4 million.

Gainers outnumbered losers 145 to 131.
