    MALAYSIA share prices opened higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 1.61 points to 1692.26.

    Volume was 48.88 million lots worth RM20.199 million.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 97 to 52.
