    Malaysia share prices opened higher on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 5.31 points to 1,718.560.

    Volume was 172.5 million lots worth RM62.9 million.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 216 to 60.
