Malaysia shares open lower on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.42 points to 1,687.97 at 9am.
Volume was 22.49 million lots worth RM10.3 million.
Losers beat gainers 87 to 50.
