Malaysia: Shares open lower on Monday

MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Monday in line with the rest of Asia, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index shedding 0.8 per cent or 12.12 points to 1598.28 as at 9.01am.  

Volume was 112.5 million lots worth about RM37.9 million.

Losers beat gainers 275 to 38.
