MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Friday (Feb 18) with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 5.16 points or 0.3 per cent to 1,599.86 as at 9.15 am.

Volume was 86.3 million lots worth about RM29.2 million (S$9.4 million). Losers beat gainers 167 to 69.
