MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.00 point to 1,656.53 at 9.01am.

Volume was 70.3 million lots worth RM21.25 million.

Losers beat gainers 85 to 74.
