MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.93 points to 1,674.68 at 9.02am.

Volume was 50.88 million lots worth RM21.53 million.

Losers beat gainers 84 to 64.
