    MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.75 points to 1,689.25 at 9am.

    Volume was 50.6 million lots worth RM15.52 million.

    Gainers beat losers 73 to 55.
