MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 3.96 points to 1,607.83 as at 9.01am.

Volume was 57.3 million lots worth RM62.1 million.

Gainers beat losers 123 to 45.
