    MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.61 points to 1,601.14 at 9am.

    Volume was 32.54 million lots worth RM11.61 million.

    Losers beat gainers 69 to 68.
