    MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Wednesday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.41 points to 1,717.59 at 9am.

    Volume was 43.88 million lots worth RM20.5 million.

    Gainers beat losers 85 to 80.
