Malaysia: Shares rise at Wednesday's open

    MALAYSIA share prices started trading on higher ground on Wednesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 12.55 points or 0.8 per cent to 1,637.33 as at 9.07am.

    Volume traded was 1.31 billion lots worth RM810 million.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 535 to 226.
