Samsung SDI shares touch 10-wk low on Galaxy Note 7 recall
[SEOUL] Shares of battery maker Samsung SDI opened sharply lower on Monday, weighed by earnings concerns after key client Samsung Electronics announced a recall of Galaxy Note 7 phones due to fire-prone batteries.
Shares of Samsung SDI were down 4.6 per cent as of 0003 GMT after touching a 10-week low, compared with a 0.6 per cent decline for Samsung Electronics and a 0.6 per cent rise for the broader market.
