Shanghai: Stocks open slightly lower

[Shanghai] Shanghai shares opened slightly lower on Friday morning as worries persisted over weak corporate earnings and the slowing domestic economy, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.16 per cent, or 4.77 points, to 2,956.20 in opening deals.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.31 per cent, or 5.79 points, to 1,870.32.
Hong Kong markets were closed for a public holiday.
