Singapore shares close 0.1 per cent down on Wednesday
SINGAPORE stocks dipped 0.1 per cent on Wednesday after crude oil prices slumped again.
The Straits Times Index retreated 1.86 points to 2,949.95. About 1.11 billion shares worth S$1.06 billion in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.95 per share.
The most actively traded counter was Magnus Energy, which rose S$0.001 to S$0.004 with 103.3 million shares changing hands. Other actives included Spackman Entertainment and Noble Group.
Losers outnumbered gainers 245 to 169, or about three down for every two up.
