Singapore shares close 0.1% lower on Tuesday
SINGAPORE stocks inched slightly lower on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index dropping 2.06 points, or 0.1 per cent, to 3,139.34.
Losers outnumbered gainers 219 to 168, after about 1.43 billion shares worth S$905.9 million changed hands.
The most actively traded counter was Rex International, which rose 4.6 per cent, or 0.5 Singapore cent, to 1.14 Singapore cents, with 101.4 million shares traded.
Other active stocks included Genting Singapore which rose almost one per cent to S$1.03; and UOB which fell 0.2 per cent to S$25.93.
