SINGAPORE shares closed lower with the key Straits Times Index falling 15.5 points or 0.5 per cent to end the day at 2,843.35.
Investors were cautious ahead of the release of the US Federal Reserve meeting minutes which is expected to provide clues on the next interest rate hike.
Trading volume was thin with 917 million shares worth S$750 million done with 150 counters up and 230 counters down.
