Singapore shares close flat on Wednesday

SINGAPORE stocks ended flat on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index gaining 0.69 point to 3,032.08.
Losers outnumbered gainers 203 to 166, with about 1.61 billion shares worth S$970.4 million traded.
The most actively traded counter was Rex International, which fell 16.1 per cent or 1.4 Singapore cents to close at 7.3 cents, with 91.1 million shares changing hands.
Other active stocks included Genting Singapore which lost 2.67 per cent to 91 Singapore cents, and Keppel Corporation which fell 2.82 per cent to S$6.20.
