Singapore shares end lower on Wednesday
SHARE prices on the Singapore bourse closed lower on Wednesday, with the key Straits Times Index down 35.12 points, or 1.11 per cent, to 3,131.48.
About 1.6 billion securities worth S$1.1 billion in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.69. Losers outnumbered gainers 302 to 119, or about five securities down for every two up.
The most actively traded stock was Nico Steel Holdings, which lost 0.1 Singapore cent, or 14.3 per cent, to end at S$0.006 after 106.2 million shares changed hands. Other actives included Thomson Medical Group and Genting Singapore.
