Singapore shares lower at Thursday break; STI down 0.4% to 3,354.73
SINGAPORE shares entered the mid-day break in negative territory, with the Straits Times Index down 0.4 per cent, or 13.97 points, to an indicated 3,354.73 as at 12.01pm.
Losers outnumbered gainers 175 to 162, after 917 million shares worth S$573.6 million had changed hands.
Among the most active stocks, QT Vascular was flat at S$0.017 with 65.5 million shares changing hands. This comes on the back of news that it had reached a settlement agreement with AngioScore after years of dispute.
Cosco Shipping was also up 3.51 per cent and heavily traded with 26.5 million shares changing hands.
Other active index stocks include ComfortDelGro which fell 2.87 per cent, or six Singapore cents to S$2.03 and Wilmar International, down 2.17 per cent, or seven Singapore cents to S$3.15.
