SINGAPORE stocks opened 0.3 per cent higher on Friday, with the Straits Times Index rising 8.13 points to 3,171.65 as at 9.01am.
The blue-chip index continued to climb higher after markets rose with a Fed hike on Thursday.
About 76.1 million shares worth S$133.2 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$1.75 per share.
The most actively traded counter was Blumont, which rose S$0.001 to S$0.004 with 5.5 million shares changing hands. Other actives included Keppel Corporation and Ntegrator International.
Gainers outnumbered losers 65 to 44, or about three up for every two down.
