Singapore shares open 0.3% lower on Monday

SINGAPORE stocks opened 0.3 per cent lower on Monday, with the Straits Times Index shedding 7.24 points to 2,727.67 as at 9.01am.
The blue-chip index was weighed down after weak economic data from China.
About 56.3 million shares worth S$53.1 million changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.94 per share.
The most actively traded counter was Attilan, which rose S$0.002 to S$0.007 with 17.4 million shares traded. Other actives included ISR Capital and Thai Beverage.
Losers outnumbered gainers 72 to 51, or about seven down for every five up.
