SINGAPORE share prices opened weaker on Monday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 10.33 points or 0.35 per cent to 2,930.10 as at 9.01am, ahead of central bank meetings in the United States and Japan this week.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Jardine Matheson Holdings, Singapore Exchange, and United Engineers.
A total of 59 million shares worth S$41 million had changed hands as at 9.02am. Losers outnumbered gainers 67 to 58.
