Singapore shares open 12 points higher on Wednesday

SHARES in the Singapore stock market opened higher on Wednesday with the key Straits Times Index up 12.45 points at 2,768.98.
Some 44 million shares worth S$55.5 million were done as at 9am, with 88 counters up and 27 down.
