THE Singapore bourse opened firmer on Thursday, with the key Straits Times Index up 31.37 points to 2,821.25, buoyed by Wall Street's overnight rally.

Some 106 million shares worth S$67 million were done as gainers outpaced losers with 137 counters up and 33 down.

US stocks surged on Wednesday as panic over Donald Trump's win in the US presidential elections was replaced by relief - and some jubilation - as months of uncertainty over the elections outcome were finally over.
