    SINGAPORE shares opened marginally higher on Tuesday, after a flat closing on Wall Street overnight offered little directional cues.

    At 9.01am, the benchmark Straits Times Index was up 8.92 points at 3,245.9.

    About 77.5 million shares worth S$105.4 million were traded, with gainers outpacing losers 90 to 36.
