Singapore shares open higher again on Friday

THE Straits Times Index (STI) opened 12.39 points higher on Friday, up 0.4 per cent to 3,104.17.
On Thursday, it closed at 3,091.78, regaining 30.29 of the 136 points lost following two days of heavy selling on Tuesday and Wednesday after China's shock move to devalue the yuan.
By 9.03am, some 78.7 million shares worth S$72 million had changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers at 74 to 52.
Top gainers in early trade included DBS, UOB and OCBC Bank as well as Lafe Corp.
