SINGAPORE share prices opened higher on Tuesday with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 5.48 points to 2,819.35 as at 9.02 am.
Top gainers in early morning trade included DBS whose quarterly earnings released on Monday exceeded analysts' expectations, and ComfortDelgro which is recovering from an earlier fall on news of reduced public transport fares.
Some 67.6 million shares worth S$82.3 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 69 to 55.
