Singapore shares open lower on Monday

SHARE prices on the Singapore bourse opened lower on Monday by 6.79 points at 2,875.19, as major US stocks fell slightly in the last week, snapping a five-week rally on hints that the Federal Reserve could make two rate hikes this year - one as early as next month.
Some 406.1 million shares worth S$77 million changed hands as at 9.02am. Winners outpaced losers 69 to 38.
