SINGAPORE share prices opened weaker on Thursday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 5.87 points or 0.18 per cent to 3,320.04 as at 9.01 am, after the US Federal Reserve kept its near-zero benchmark interest rate unchanged.
Top gainers in early morning trade included Jardine Matheson Holdings, UOB, ARA Asset Management, and Ezion.
A total of 74.9 million shares worth S$63 million had changed hands as at 9.01am. Gainers outnumbered losers 73 to 63.
