Singapore stocks enter afternoon session lower; STI at 3,542.28, down 0.2% on day
SINGAPORE shares entered the afternoon session 0.2 per cent lower on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index down 7.93 points to 3,542.28 as at 1.02pm.
About 1.04 billion shares worth S$645 million in total changed hands as losers outnumbered gainers 214 to 160.
The most actively traded stock was JEP Holdings, which rose S$0.007 to S$0.067 with 61.3 million shares changing hands.
Other actives included Blumont and Thai Bev.
Active index stocks included DBS, down S$0.1 or 0.37 per cent at S$26.41; and SGX shares trading up S$0.24 or 3.2 per cent higher at S$7.81.
