Singapore stocks open slightly higher
SINGAPORE stocks opened 0.2 per cent higher on Monday, with the Straits Times Index gaining 5.16 points to 3,138.51 as at 9.07am.
About 116.5 million shares worth S$74.3 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.64 per share.
Among top stocks by value traded, blue chips UOB, Singtel, CapitaLand and DBS opened higher, while Keppel fell.
The most actively traded counter was Disa, which rose S$0.001 to S$0.032 with 19.5 million shares changing hands. Other actives included Vallianz and Spackman.
Gainers outnumbered losers 122 to 53, or about seven up for every three down.
