Singapore stocks: STI resumes Tuesday afternoon at 2,971.63, down 0.3% on day
SINGAPORE shares resumed trading on Tuesday afternoon in negative territory, with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.3 per cent or 9.91 points to 2,971.63 as at 1.03pm. About 1.50 billion shares worth S$487 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.33 per share.
Losers outnumbered gainers 207 to 110.
The most actively traded stock was Ezion Holdings, which fell S$0.001 to S$0.057 with 21 million shares changing hands.
Other actives included STI constituents Genting Singapore and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
Among financials, DBS shares were trading down S$0.13 or 0.6 per cent lower at S$22.90; UOB shares were S$0.07 or 0.3 per cent down at S$24.08; but OCBC Bank shares were trading S$0.09 or 0.9 per cent higher at S$10.51.
Among fixed income securities, Temasek Holdings' first retail bonds which debuted last Friday, were trading S$0.003 or 0.3 per cent higher at S$1.019.
