Singapore's STI opens 12.46 points higher

THE Straits Times Index (STI) opened 12.46 points higher, or 0.36 per cent, to 3,473.14 points at 9.01am on Thursday. This was after US stocks rose overnight, and Tokyo market opened higher.
Some 122.1 million shares were traded with a value of S$110.5 million. Gainers outnumbered losers 121 to 52.
Top stocks by value traded were blue chips City Developments, Jardine Cycle & Carriage, Singapore Airlines, and Keppel Corp. Among the most active stocks were Xpress Holdings, Albedo Limited, Jaya Holdings and Noble Group.
