Stocks to watch: SPH Reit, Sembcorp, Nutryfarm, Darco Water

    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday:

    SPH Reit: SK6U The real estate investment trust (Reit) on Monday announced distribution per unit (DPU) of 1.58 Singapore cents for the fourth quarter ended August, bringing DPU for the second half of FY2021 to 2.96 cents, up 184.6 per cent from DPU of 1.04 cents for H2 last year. The Reit, however, posted rental reversion of negative 8.4 per cent for FY2021, as visitor traffic to its five malls in Singapore and Australia fell 20 per cent in the year due to various Covid-19 restrictions. SPH Reit units closed up half a Singapore cent or 0.5 per cent at 93 cents on Monday, before the announcement.

    Sembcorp Industries (SCI): U96 Its subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chiyoda Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation to explore the feasibility and implementation of a commercial-scale supply chain to deliver decarbonised hydrogen into Singapore. SCI shares closed at S$1.82 on Monday down S$0.01 or 0.6 per cent, before the announcement.

    Nutryfarm International Limited: AZT The mainboard-listed group on Monday announced that First Linkage's owner will repay it 60 million yuan (S$12.6 million) for its outstanding refundable deposit, after its failed acquisition of the company. A subsidiary of First Linkage will also refund Nutryfarm 33.5 million yuan for the return of equipment which the group acquired in 2019. Shares of Nutryfarm closed on Monday down 1 Singapore cent or 2.9 per cent at 33.5 cents, before the news.

    Darco Water Technologies: BLR The company on Monday said it has not been repaid a US$600,000 refundable deposit in relation to a terminated letter of intent to purchase Con Dao Green Energy Co. It is in discussions with the counterparty and its major promoter shareholder to arrive at a satisfactory resolution. Shares of Darco closed flat at 17.1 Singapore cents on Monday, before the announcement.

    Trading halt: United Hampshire US Reit ODBU on Tuesday morning requested a trading halt, pending the release of an announcement. Units of the Reit on Monday closed at 66.5 US cents, down 0.5 cent or 0.8 per cent.
