THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (May 20):
Centurion Corp: The mainboard-listed company on Thursday announced plans to acquire a 103-bed freehold student accommodation asset in Nottingham in the United Kingdom for £10.4 million (S$18 million). The group expects the acquisition to enlarge its purpose-build student accommodation portfolio in the UK. Shares of Centurion ended the day at S$0.35, down S$0.005 or 1.4 per cent, before the news.
Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust (FLCT) : Its manager on Thursday said the trust is planning to acquire a fully leased freehold suburban commercial property in Victoria, Australia for A$60.25 million (about S$58.4 million). The deal is slated for completion on May 20. Units in FLCT closed at S$1.35 on Thursday, down S$0.01 or 0.7 per cent.
