Stocks to watch: DBS, Manulife US Reit, Prime US Reit, ARA H-Trust, Del Monte

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Thursday (Aug 4):
DBS : Singapore’s largest bank on Thursday reported a 7 per cent rise in net profit to S$1.82 billion for Q2 ended June, marking the second-highest quarterly profit in its history. This beat a S$1.64 billion consensus estimate from analysts polled by Bloomberg. DBS closed 2 per cent or S$0.62 higher at S$32.33 on Wednesday.
Manulife US Real Estate Investment Trust (Manulife US Reit): Its manager on Thursday reported a 3.3 per cent drop in its distribution per unit (DPU) for the half year ended Jun 30 due to lower income from existing properties. The Reit posted a DPU of US$0.0261, down from US$0.027 last year. Manulife US Reit closed up 0.9 per cent or US$0.005 at US$0.595 on Wednesday.
