THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Oct 5):
Sembcorp Marine : The marine and offshore engineering group on Wednesday said it obtained a US$3.1 billion engineering, procurement and construction contract for a P-82 floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel from Brazil’s Petrobras. Sembmarine closed 2.8 per cent or S$0.003 higher at S$0.109 on Tuesday.
Cortina Holdings : The luxury watch retailer and distributor is buying over the fourth level of 15 Scotts Road for S$49 million. If the sale goes through, the company’s earnings per share is expected to rise to S$0.417 from S$0.415. Shares of Cortina closed 6.3 per cent or S$0.25 lower at S$3.70 on Tuesday, before the announcement.
