THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Wednesday (Oct 12):
SIA Engineering (SIAEC): The mainboard-listed company announced on Wednesday the extension of its partnership with Hawaiian Airlines to perform maintenance checks for 11 of the airline’s A330-200 aircraft into 2027. Separately, SIAEC said it also signed a 10-year support agreement with Malaysian low-cost carrier MYAirline to provide support services for its fleet of A320 aircraft. The counter closed 2.3 per cent or S$0.05 lower at S$2.17 on Tuesday.
Q&M Dental : Its 51 per cent-owned subsidiary, medical technology company Acumen Diagnostics, announced on Tuesday that it has won the Ministry of Health’s tender to operate one of the sites allocated for Joint Testing and Vaccination Centres from Oct 1 2022 to Dec 31 2023. The contract is estimated to be worth at least S$3.6 million. Shares of Q&M Dental ended flat at S$0.33 on Tuesday, before the announcement.
