    THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Oct 14): 

    Singtel : The telco’s Australian unit Optus said customers whose passport numbers were exposed in a recent cyberattack will not need to replace their passports. The statement came after discussions with the Australian government, which previously confirmed that Optus would pay for the replacements. Singtel ended flat at S$2.48 on Thursday.

    Singapore Airlines (SIA): The flag carrier is in confidential discussions with Tata Group to explore a potential transaction relating to securities of Indian full-service airline Vistara and Tata subsidiary Air India. SIA currently holds a 49 per cent equity interest in the entity which operates Vistara. SIA shares closed flat at S$5.03 on Thursday, before the announcement was made.
