Tokyo: Nikkei extends longest-ever winning streak

[TOKYO] Tokyo's benchmark stock index rose again on Tuesday, extending the longest winning streak in its nearly 70-year history.
The Nikkei 225 gained 0.50 per cent, or 108.52 points, to finish at 21,805.17, logging its 16th consecutive day of gains, while the broader Topix index rose 0.67 per cent, or 11.67 points, to 1,756.92.
